I have spent the last several weeks attempting to introduce myself and my work to the world. However our world right now stands at at a crossroads. Is this the apocalypse? Who's to say? Is this the optimum time to be branching out into the world of small business ownership? Ideally, no. But here's the thing: I know I need to. You see, the last few decades of my life have been dedicated to textile art in the form of costume. I have lived as a reenactor, as cosplayer, a dancer, a witch, and a costume designer; and while these lives are not over they seem to all merge into one simple purpose: Valkyrie's Wyrd.
My little workshop is where Midgard, Asgrad, Vannaheim, and Yggdrasil's Roots intersect. It is where I can help bring to life the characters of myths and legends, as well as those of my clients. I work in the liminal spaces between what is, what was, and what will be. Wyrd is the web the Nornir weave for us. They dictate our births and our deaths, but we are the ones deciding the paths that bring us to the end. We weave our webs alongside of them, choosing who is friend or foe, who we love, who we serve, and how we walk the path. There is a great freedom and a great weight in the fact that we have a hand in our own destinies.
So I must now ask you, who are you? Are you a warrior? A witch? An elf? Are you looking for protection on your next adventure? Or maybe just something comfortable for ritual in the woods? What stories are you longing to bring to life?
My name is Kris, and I am the Valkyrie of Valkyrie's Wyrd.
